HILLSBORO - Robert F. Goode, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at
Concord Hospital.
Active member of Hillsboro community; He was born in Patterson,
N.J., on Dec. 23, 1920, the son of John Henry Goode and Jessie
Shearer Ritchie. Robert was schooled in Glen Rock, N.J., and at
Ridgewood High School, also in New Jersey. He enlisted in the Army
during World War II and attained the rank of first sergeant, serving
as electrical foreman in Company B, 1393rd Engineer Construction
Battalion.; After receiving his honorable discharge in January of
1946, he returned to college at Hobart and graduated in 1947, when he
married Mary Myles Gilkison. Later, he lived in Port Washington,
