Article: Supporters:What can we do? Red River's advocates still hoping

Those who came to a public forum hosted by Red River Theatres Wednesday night said they were eager for a movie theater to open on Main Street. The 35-odd people at that meeting also said they were worried about the project falling through and wanted to know what they could do to make it happen.

But at a meeting that was a chance for the Red River board to strengthen community support, many in the audience left feeling unsure about the group's plans and what can be done to help. Only three of the nine Red River board members were there, and although board chairman Barry Steelman circulated a sign-up sheet and passed out donation fliers, he did not indicate what the next step would be.
