WEARE - Just five months after he became Weare's first elected
police chief, Greg Begin has volunteered to fill in as part-time town
administrator. While some have praised his initiative, others worry
he is taking on too much responsibility and should concentrate on
police affairs.
Begin and Naomi Bolton, the town land-use coordinator, volunteered
to split the town administrator's responsibilities until a new
administrator is hired, which could take six months. Former town
administrator Bob Christensen resigned at the end of June to begin a
career in school administration.
