Epsom residents proved yesterday that deliberative sessions can be
nearly painless and perhaps almost fun, even ones that feature
discussion of a $7.2 million school budget plan and a new teacher
contract.
Residents at the meeting forwarded the proposals for the budget,
new teacher and staff contracts and funding for bus transportation to
a March 14 ballot as the school board presented them.
The $7,158,933 proposed budget would increase school funding by
7.6 percent compared to this year's budget. Epsom Central School is
operating under a default budget, since voters rejected last year's
proposed budget in March. This year's proposed budget would increase
