From runaway government spending to Islamic terrorism, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney spoke of the most pressing threats to American supremacy during a visit to Concord yesterday. He warned what could happen if political leaders and the public at large fail to address these challenges.

"If we just sit there and assume that we will always lead the world, we could find ourselves becoming the France of the 21st century, having started off as the superpower and ending up as something less than that," said Romney, a potential Republican presidential candidate.
