HILLSBORO -Francis "Frannie" W. Beard, 84, died Thursday, March
23, 2006, at home.
He was born March 2, 1922, in Henniker, the son of the late Earl
C. and Vanessa (Hicks) Beard.
Mr. Beard lived his entire life in Hillsboro. He was a graduate of
Hillsboro schools and served as F.C. 2nd class with the U.S. Navy
during World War II in the Pacific.
He worked for the Monadnock Paper Mill for 33 years before he
retired in 1985. After his retirement ,he worked for Parks and
Recreation for 14 years, and also worked part-time for 35 years at
the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
He was a member of the United Methodist church, American Legion
Post No. 59, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 8268 ...
