My early jump on spring gardening has left me with a little too
much time on my hands. After cleaning out the flower beds, I actually
turned my attention to the lawn. The moles aerated the soil all
winter, leaving winding tunnels all over the yard, and the snow plow
plowed a good deal of the front yard along with the snow. On top of
that, my adorable son's passion for burying time capsules has left
huge ruts all over the property.
So, last week I sprinkled some grass seed around; it hasn't rained
since. I am now waiting for grass to grow. While I don't seem to be
showing much patience for my grass, I have lots of patience for
tender pork chops and sausage slow-cooked in a tomato sauce. ...
