Pembroke- Lucien L. "Lou"Bouffard, 77, a longtime resident of Pembroke, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at the Concord Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Pembroke on September 26, 1928, Mr. Bouffard was the son of Elzear and Marie (Plante) Bouffard. Although he lived most of his life in Pembroke, he had spent much of his time in St. Petersburg, Fla., since 1988.

He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran, having served in the South Pacific.

He was a life member of the John J. Maguire American Legion Post No. 28, a life member and past commander of the Suncook Valley VFW Post No. 2860, and a member of AmVets No. 1 in Florida. Mr. Bouffard had also been a member of the Pembroke Fire ...
