Before I began my handbag hunt, I needed to pick out a victim to
present the purse to. I chose the most fashion-savvy girl I know, my
good friend Tanja. I figured if I could pick something she approved
of, I would be able to attain a sort of enlightenment not normally
achievable by man.
I found myself in Target surrounded by a plethora of pocketbooks.
After swallowing my pride, I began to pick up and inspect each bag.
As my hunt went on, I felt as if I were shopping for a car, mulling
over which features I really needed and which ones I couldn't afford.
There were purses with pockets, tiny handbags that served no purpose,
flashy bags, simple bags, even a purse with a halogen lamp inside. ...
