Snowstorm Hammers Western Washington

SEATTLE - The driver of a propane tanker truck was killed after a collision with a Jeep on an icy Interstate 5, and numerous other collisions were reported as Western Washington roads turned treacherous Saturday with the season's first snowfall.

The accident occurred early Saturday morning after the Jeep, driven by a 23-year-old Tacoma woman, lost control on southbound I-5 south of Tacoma and collided with the tanker, which flipped onto its side and skidded to rest over an embankment, the Washington State Patrol said.
