Longest-serving Yankee Crosetti Dies at 91

STOCKTON, Calif. - Frank Crosetti, the shortstop on eight New York Yankees World Series championship teams from 1932 to 1948, is dead at the age of 91.

Crosetti died Monday night of complications from a fall in early January, said his wife of 63 years, Norma.

"He was Yankee all the way around. We had no other team. He only played with the Yankees," she said.

In his 17 seasons with New York, Crosetti played with a legion of Yankee greats, including Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio. He was a member of nine American League championship teams and had a career batting ...
