SUNNYSIDE - For Mike Pecheos and his girlfriend, Teena Parise, who quit smoking less than two months ago, temptation is everywhere.

They work in a bar - Pecheos owns the Blue Moon Tavern - and every day customers smoke right in front of them. Even on a slow day in the well-ventilated bar, the smell of smoke fills the air.

In fact, buying the bar 14 years ago is when Pecheos resumed smoking after 15 smoke-free years.

But the 48-year-old Pecheos and the 41-year-old Parise, and their friend Kathy Hunsaker, insist the atmosphere doesn't bother them.

"I really don't even smell it," says Hunsaker, 47. "Some days I forget that I ever did smoke."
