Margot Kidder says she doesn't have a favorite. Neither does Eve
Ensler. That's because each character in the play, "The Vagina
Monologues," is based on a real person Ensler interviewed.
"I hold all of these women's stories deep in my heart," Ensler
said last week in a phone interview from Paris.
Performed in a series of vignettes, "The Vagina Monologues"
develops snapshots of diverse women in various situations. It relays
the stories of mothers, sisters, daughters and friends; it crosses
lines of age, culture, geography, sexual orientation and race.
