SELAH - Florence Margaret Ballinger passed gently away on May 26,
2003, at Selah Convalescent Center. Florence lived a healthy, active
life and reached the rich age of 96 years old.
Florence was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 26, 1906.
Her father, Peter Hansen passed away in his late twenties when
Florence was four. In 1910 her mother Hansina married Albert S. Lee
in Spokane, Washington. Albert and Hansina subsequently had three
children, two daughters and one son. They ran a successful grocery
business in Wenatchee and later a dairy business in La Center, where
Florence graduated from high school. In 1927, the family moved to
