TOPPENISH - Martina Madrigal knows how to keep a secret recipe.
Even her sisters can't convince her to divulge the carefully measured
ingredients that go into her cups of strawberries and cream.
Instead of releasing the recipe to relatives visiting from
California, she once made them 35 pounds of the cream to add to their
luggage for the trip home.
Curious customers at her shop in Toppenish must learn to accept
that their best option is to just place another order for the sweet
treat.
The 36-year-old Madrigal opened... 3 Amores in January.
And, still, she will only admit the delicacy is made from sour
cream.
