Foster parents aren't in it for the money -- in most cases they
pay out of their own pockets to temporarily house the kids they take
in.
But that doesn't mean they're willing to be abused by a system
that -- at its worst -- takes kids away from foster families for
unjust reasons and threatens foster parents' careers by allowing kids
to make false allegations at will, parents told their state
representatives Monday.
At its Yakima headquarters on River Road, a new nonprofit
organization for foster parents, called Central Washington Foster
Parent Association, held a luncheon with 15th District state Rep.
