WALLA WALLA -- Chad Johnson got the itch to be in the wine
business several years ago after taking "a few romantic trips to
Napa."A friend had started a winery in the famed Northern
California valley, and Johnson said he would often barrage him with
questions about how to get started.
Finally, his friend advised him to take the financial risk and
"just do it."
This year, Johnson made the leap with his wife, Janet, and her
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Corey Braunel, as
partners. After looking around wine regions on the West Coast, the
four early-thirtysomethings left Wisconsin and moved to Walla Walla.
