It's been a year in the making, but today a national foster care
advocacy group will release its final recommendations on how to
overhaul the country's foster care system.
The report is the most comprehensive analysis of the nation's
foster care system ever done, said the commission's deputy director,
Sue Badeau.
"This has never been done by anyone before," she said. "There've
been reports on foster care, but nothing this comprehensive."
The national nonpartisan Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care
was created last May and supported by a grant from The Pew Charitable
Trusts to the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute.
