There are a few restaurants around town that are worth the price of admission. Apple Tree Restaurant, situated on the West Valley golf course for which it's named, is one of them.

And if you go, you must try the stuffed salmon.

Before anything is ordered, however, the Apple Tree serves every patron a "snack" of neatly cut apples with warm caramel sauce for dipping. You can munch on a few of these while perusing the menu or gazing out the restaurant's enormous windows onto an amazing view of the golf course.

(Incidentally, whether you're seated outside on the patio, inside along the window or in the middle of the restaurant, every diner has a fantastic vantage point.)
