Back East, Friday night means only one thing: PIZZA!
And with a bevy of pizza joints to choose from, Northeasterners
are never at a loss for selection. Things haven't been so bright for
pizza lovers in the West, where chain pizzerias muscle out the "mom
and pop" operations.
But one tiny Yakima joint holds its own: Tony's Big Cheese Pizza.
Located in the Safeway Plaza on Nob Hill Boulevard, Tony's Big
Cheese puts out a pretty good pie -- for cheap.
Any day of the week, saunter up to the counter for the take-out
special: large pepperoni cheese round pizza for $5.55, the "triple
nickel special" ($6.01 with tax, to be exact).
