Article: Team tennis tourney a rewarding experience

On one court Class 3A state placer Danny Plesha is showing off his spinning forehands in a boys singles match; next to him Class 2A state champion Kevin Floyd is leaning into another serve as he helps a doubles team to victory.

All Jeff Brantner and his collection of Yakima Valley high school tennis coaches turned volunteers can do is smile and enjoy. This is because the USTA Junior Team Tennis State Championships being held Saturday and today at Kissel Park is a reward for a job well done.
