Article: Ecology Department sets hearings on Columbia River water sharing

The Washington Department of Ecology has scheduled four open houses to give residents the opportunity to talk about a draft environmental impact statement on a new water management program for the Columbia River.

Ecology officials will attend the meetings, including ones in Kennewick and Moses Lake, in late October and early November to answer questions and share insights on the proposals outlined in the draft impact statement.

Also, a draft report with an inventory of water supplies and a long-term water demand forest will be introduced during the workshops.
