DDB/Chicago has parted ways with Rick Korzeniowski and Dave
Kessler, the shop's top executives on its oldest and most profitable
account -- insurance behemoth State Farm.
Korzeniowski, who was at DDB for more than 20 years, had for some
time headed up creative on State Farm, while Kessler was in charge
on the account executive side of the State Farm business. DDB group
creative director John Siebert reportedly has been put in charge of
creative on State Farm while the agency looks for a new top account
executive.
The abrupt dismissal of both high-level executives at the same
time has prompted rumors about the status of the State Farm account.
