Viewed from afar, winning 20 of 22 games at this point in the
season sounds pretty good. But when you consider the second loss of
that stretch came in the 22nd game, which also happens to be Game 1
of the 103rd World Series, it doesn't seem so special anymore.
That's the cold reality today for the Colorado Rockies,
baseball's darling team that ran out of magic Wednesday, despite
wearing their lucky black jerseys.
