Boston - So much for the hottest team in baseball.
It'll be a few days before we know if eight days of inactivity
took the starch out of the Colorado Rockies or if they simply are no
match for the Boston Red Sox, who must wonder now how it took three
elimination games to escape the ALCS alive.
Continuing the offensive barrage that sent Cleveland home for the
winter, the Red Sox overwhelmed the Rockies, 13-1, Wednesday night
in Game 1 of the World Series at Fenway Park.
The embarrassing defeat snapped Colorado's 10-game winning streak
and begged the question as to whether the wild-card Rockies who won
