Representatives from a New Jersey credit card company came to Marshall University recently with freebie T-shirts adorned with the school logo and plans to set up a booth in the main student lounge.

But when they arrived at the Huntington campus for their three- day stay, what they found were school regulations that forced them into an out-of-the-way room on the second floor of the student center.

The only connection the company had to the main lounge, where students hang out, was a sign notifying students of their presence. Frustrated, the company left midway through the second day of the trip.
