Article: Musharraf seeks to begin talks with India: Officials say nuclear weapons will not; be used in conflict

ALMATY, Kazakhstan - As Pakistan's leader started a diplomatic press for India to enter talks over disputed Kashmir province and avoid war, New Delhi dismissed fears that either country would use nuclear weapons in a conflict.

"The government makes it clear that India does not believe in the use of nuclear weapons. Neither does it visualize that it will be used by any other country," India's Defense Ministry said in a statement released in New Delhi. "India categorically rules out the use of nuclear weapons."
