HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Something has changed with the New York Jets'
offense, and it's not just the green uniforms. It's not even the fact
that the starting quarterback has blond, wavy hair, a Tennessee
accent and a basset hound that he got in Mississippi.
It's a long story, but let's just say guys from Elmont named Vinny
usually don't own basset hounds from Mississippi.
What Chad Pennington has brought to the Jets' West Coast offense
in two starts is nothing short of astounding, even when put in the
context of the competition he's faced. But to think he would have
