SAN DIEGO - Almost as shocking as the New York Jets' rout of San
Diego was the admission that the Chargers' weren't ready.
A Marty Schottenheimer coached team, no less.
"The performance we put on today was unacceptable," Schottenheimer
said after the AFC-leading Chargers lost 44-13 on Sunday.
"We didn't come out here ready to play," said LaDainian Tomlinson,
the NFL's third-leading running back who was held to just 60 yards on
12 carries. "We took these guys for granted."
The stunning victory was a nice turnaround for the Jets, who a
week earlier had blown an 18-point lead in a 24-21 loss to Cleveland.
