Article: Owner considers closing two Capitol Market stores

The Four Leg Gourmet pet store at Charleston's Capitol Market is probably closing, and the Roasted Pepper gourmet cooking shop might not be far behind.

Nancy Hurley, who owns both businesses, says she definitely plans to close the pet store June 1 because of disagreements with Capitol Market officials. She's considering what to do with the Roasted Pepper.

"I can be in a place where I can actually run my business without interference, with petty decisions being made about products," Hurley said.

Capitol Market officials didn't want to comment yet. Market spokeswoman Tammy Borstnar said she could not yet confirm whether the shops are leaving.
