Article: Jet fans will be charged to remain on waiting list

If you're on the waiting list for Jets season tickets, it'll cost you.

The approximately 22,000 fans on the waiting list have received a letter from the team informing them they must pay $50 a year to remain on it. In a letter dated Aug. 5, Jets President Jay Cross notified those on the list about the fee.

"In an effort to provide you the most accurate gauge of your priority on our list, we have attached an invoice to this letter for all Jets fans on our season tickets waiting list," said the letter, a copy of which was obtained by Newsday. "The annual fee to remain on the waiting list is $50."

This year's payment is due by Sept. 15.
