Article: Kanawha County parks board backs master plan, Proposal would create network of green space

The Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission has voted to support creation of a master plan for development of an interconnected network of public and private green space and trails around the Kanawha Valley. The approval came Wednesday after Beth Wheatley, executive director of the West Virginia Land Trust, told the commission she wanted the park system to be a key partner in the development of the greenway master plan by the end of 2004.
