Old political wounds have never healed in Lincoln County, where
many voters are still upset with former Sen. Lloyd Jackson for
supporting school consolidation.
Now, as Jackson begins his campaign for governor, he has left his
home county because of education - the same issue that caused him so
much political trouble in the first place.
Jackson and his family are now renting a house on Bridge Road in
Charleston. His family moved so his son could attend George
Washington High School, Jackson said. Jackson has another son who
attends boarding school.
