Randy Flanagan believes in prayer, possibilities and rainbows.
"My entire position in life is to be open," said Flanagan,
director of connectional ministries for the West Virginia Annual
Conference of the United Methodist Church. "I am more at peace now
than at any time of my life."
Flanagan, 49, is a West Virginia native who served his first
church as a pastor when he was an 18-year-old college student. Over
the years, rainbows have marked everything from job changes to
significant life events. He does not see this sign as something to be
sought. He realizes the rainbows are God-given gifts and he wonders
if he will see one in June.
