Article: Food fight brewing on snack bar closing: Operator of Capitol facility alleges unfairness, racism

Controversy and dissatisfaction are brewing over the closing of a hot food snack bar located in the west wing of the state Capitol.

Customers say they will miss the food, speedy service, reasonable prices and personal touch.

Harold Bowles, 59, said he has overseen that snack bar for the last three years along with another hot food bar located in the east wing. As part of a training program with the Society for the Blind, he also runs vending areas located in the Rotunda, Cultural Center and Division of Motor Vehicles.
