This is the kind of game area girls basketball fans have become
accustomed to the last few years.
Undefeated and top-ranked Capital (12-0) takes on defending Class
AAA champ and No. 2 ranked South Charleston at 7:30 tonight at SC.
The Black Eagles (5-1) are led by all-state point guard Renee
Montgomery, who averages 26 points and was named today as the state's
Player of the Week by the Associated Press.
The Cougars counter with a balanced offensive attack that has
sophomore Shawnice Garland averaging 18.3 points, seniors Ashlee Teel
and Tiana Beatty 15.3 and 12.0, respectively, and the other Garland
twin, Shawnita, at 10 points per game.
South Charleston's only loss ...
