Article: Civic Center gears up for annual auto show

A large contingent of local and national planners are getting in gear to bring the West Virginia International Auto Show to the Charleston Civic Center.

From Jan. 21-23, the arena will be transformed into a showcase for new cars, new trends and for the imaginative concept cars that capture the attention of visitors.

Ruth Lemmon, executive director of the West Virginia Automobile and Truck Dealers Association, said this seventh annual show promises plenty of glitz and glamour.

"The Civic Center will be completely transformed with carpeting, curtains and lighting," she said. "It's wonderful. Every year I get so excited."
