BERKELEY SPRINGS - Morgan County's emergency radio system has gaps
that put rescue workers in danger, officers have told the Morgan
County Commission.
Radio signal "dead spots" put fire and rescue workers at risk and
prohibit them from doing their jobs, said Jamie Clark, assistant
chief of the Berkeley Springs Volunteer Fire Company.
David Michael, director of the Morgan County Office of Emergency
Services, tied the complicated radio signal problem to emergency
services antenna and tower connections on North Mountain in eastern
Morgan County, Cacapon Mountain in western Morgan County and on
Fairview Mountain in nearby Washington County, Md.
