The Bridge Road Shops, an unusual cluster of locally owned
boutiques in South Hills, offer variety for anyone looking for that
perfect gift this holiday season.
The shops rely heavily on the holidays for their revenue, and some
stores bring in as much as 30 percent of their yearly earnings during
November and December. Many of them have been preparing for the
season since late summer.
The stores sell everything from clothing to travel packages to
holiday knick-knacks, and there are items to suit all budgets.
"I think it's the best shopping in the state," said Thebe Jordan,
owner of Eggplant. "We have gifts for under $10 and gifts for several
hundred dollars.
