So much for the worry about a hurricane-caused, three-week
vacation for South Florida's football team. The Bulls blew into
Rutgers and Big East title contention Saturday.
USF got its first Big East road victory with a wild, 45-31 win at
Rutgers. So, the team that was picked to finish seventh in its big
East debut season has a shot at becoming the conference's Bowl
Championship Series representative.
Between a Dec. 3 rescheduled home date with league-leading West
Virginia (7-1 overall, 4-0 Big East), the Bulls (4-3, 2-1) play at
last-place Syracuse, get Cincinnati in Tampa, then go to Connecticut.
Those three foes are holding up the bottom of the league.
