The Hot Spot has become a hot issue again - this time in the city of Dunbar.

After losing their Kanawha City location in September, owners of the gambling parlor opened another one near the Cold Spot along W.Va. 25 in Dunbar earlier this month.

And like deja vu, this municipality wants them out, too.

The Dunbar Hot Spot opened Nov. 2, but Mayor Roger Wolfe said he would issue a letter sometime this week rescinding its license to operate in the city.

Wolfe says the city believed the gambling parlor was operating as a fraternal organization, the Fraternal Order of the Owls Nest.
