Article: Hot Spot told to obey Dunbar law: Lottery chief says action may be taken

West Virginia Lottery Commissioner John Musgrave says the new Hot Spot in Dunbar has not violated any state video lottery laws.

But Musgrave said the lottery commission may take action against Hot Spot, which offers video lottery, if the city of Dunbar proves its claims that the Hot Spot's owners misrepresented themselves.

Dunbar Mayor Roger Wolfe contends the business's location at 4008 Washington Street West violates city ordinances. He also said owners misrepresented themselves as a fraternal organization.

Musgrave said the Lottery Commission is sending Hot Spot owners a letter advising them to comply with city zoning rules.
