Not since Eleanor Roosevelt has a political wife on the
national scene engendered such strong feelings as Hillary Clinton.
She is not only (like Mrs. Roosevelt) a woman of strong political
views but, in addition, one qualified in all the usual ways to be
either on her husband's staff or in his Cabinet. After all, she's
not only close to her patron but a much-admired lawyer as well.
Robert Kennedy, another controversial political relative, was only
one of those things.
Now Hillary Clinton finds herself in a spot of trouble. In
particular, two questions have been raised about her: What,
precisely, was her role in a certain real estate venture, and did
she successfully insulate herself ...
