It never fails. If we show up to a deck party, cook out or church
social with a plate of deviled eggs, they are the first to disappear.
We stand back in amused satisfaction every time. Why? Because deviled
eggs are so very easy to make.
Our friend Debbie Moose even wrote a whole book about these
delectable little devils in "Deviled Eggs: 50 Recipes from Simple to
Sassy" (Harvard Common Press, 2004). Debbie explored the wonders of
the deviled egg and all its versatility, featuring everything from
the classic version sprinkled with paprika in Ma-Ma's Deviled Eggs to
dessert eggs filled with a chocolate mixture to today's recipe for
Blue Devils spiked with blue cheese.
