Wanted: Descendants of the early settlers of St. Albans.
Organizers are busy planning activities for the first St. Albans
Founders Day celebration.
Activities to fit all ages and interests are set for Oct. 6-8 to
celebrate the 190th anniversary of when the first family settled in
the area that now is downtown St. Albans.
Margaret Bassitt, chairman of the program for the St. Albans
Historical Society, said officials would like to find descendants of
the four founding families, which will help in a quest to preserve
the history of the town.
