Bobby Rucker idolized James Brown so much that he committed to
gyrate and grind just like the Godfather of Soul.
"The first time I ever saw James Brown dance, it was on TV, and I
thought, 'Wow, I've got to do this,' " he said.
Rucker wound up carving out a part-time performance career for
himself as a James Brown impersonator - even though he's a 56-year-

"I couldn't believe it when I saw it in the paper. We lost an icon.
