Article: Skyhawks' 'junk defense' frustrates Summers County's leading scorer

Call it a Brown-out, of sorts.

More than a few college coaches were on hand at the Charleston Civic Center for the late Thursday night Class AA quarterfinal, and several eyes might have been on Summers County junior Jolysa Brown.

Brown has dominated Class AA teams all season for the top-seeded Bobcats. She came into the tournament averaging 22 points per game.

However, the slew of coaches in attendance Thursday didn't get the kind of look at Brown that they might have wanted.

That's because Brown only attempted one shot and scored six points, all on free throws, as Summers County actually trailed by five at halftime to No. 8 seed Scott before rallying to advance.
