West Virginia State University and West Virginia State Community
and Technical College will have joint commencement exercises at 2
p.m. Sunday at the Charleston Civic Center.
A record number of about 460 students are expected to receive
graduate, baccalaureate or associate degrees. Of those receiving
associate degrees, 36 will be the first to graduate from the nursing
program.
Featured speaker for the event will be Constantine W. Curris,
president of the American Association of State Colleges and
Universities, a national association of 400 public colleges and
universities.
