Simon Berry takes a look at the company charged with the task of
regenerating the site of the former Motherwell steel works One of the
symbols of Scotland's industrial decline, the former Ravenscraig
steel plant, is set to receive an economic boost following the
appointment of Lanarkshire-based property developers, Park Lane
Holdings, one of the sponsors of the Life After Steel conference to
be held in Motherwell from May 1-3.
The conference, also sponsored by the North Lanarkshire Council,
Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire and the Sunday Herald, will look at
how the former Ravenscraig steel works site, the largest brownfield
site in Europe, is being regenerated.
