THE parents of Scots academic Lesley McCulloch, jailed in Indonesia, have accused the Foreign Office of giving them no support and acting "without humanity".

McCulloch was freed this morning after being jailed on September 10 for allegedly contacting separatist rebels in Indonesia's troubled Aceh province.

But Mattie and Donnie McCulloch, who live in Dunoon, yesterday told the Sunday Herald that the Foreign Office had been "uncaring and distant" during their five-month ordeal.

And they revealed their suspicions that their telephone was tapped while they desperately tried to get information about their 40-year- old daughter.
